Re Tomas Repka -

Earlier this month I was on way to Vegas with the Mrs and friends. As we walked into the departure lounge there were two fellas sitting down and I just did a double take and said to the Mrs something along the lines of "bloody hell that's Tomas Repka" Not loud obviously!! The Mrs understandably considering her lack of footballing knowledge replied "who?!" Out came here smartphone and google images and unless he has a bloody good lookalike somewhere it was indeed old Tomas.

Anyway, moments later Tomas sees an old lady sorting her luggage out and seemingly struggling to get to her feet. Tomas leaves his seat, walks over and takes the old dear gently by the arm and helps her up, sees if she is ok and then returns to his seat. And there I was thinking he was either going to head butt her or scythe her down with a knee high challenge!!

So off the pitch old Tomas is indeed a gent.....

I like that these threads always end up with people just randomly naming shit players, forgetting they are meant to have been cult heroes (admittedly there are only a limited number of cult heroes to choose from).

I did actually think Gary Breen was going to be decent; But I was shocked at how bad he was. I'm struggling to think of a worse CB.

Is there anything on youtube depicting Gary Breen's magnificent performance in the World Cup?

Or is this just an urban myth?

George Parris tops this for me. His commitment to the cause was only matched by his lack of coordination of any sort. This mixture led to some quite spectacularly bad challenges on opposition players, the odd miraculous goal, but in the main George was shit. We fucking loved him though.
